About This Show

Interact’s annual inclusive celebration of theatre features staged readings and workshop productions of a broad range of classic plays, original material, musical comedies, cabaret acts, experimental drama, and revues. Interactivity invites the audience to experience with the actors, in an informal and festive cornucopia of performances, their mutual love of the limitless art of the living stage.

The Winslow Boy Staged Reading
A father who believes in his son’s innocence fights to clear the boy’s name, and restore the family’s honor and standing, after he is expelled from a naval academy.

Virtual Reality Staged Reading
Two strangers hired for a mysterious mission meet for a trial run of their assignment. When they arrive they discover neither instructions nor equipment waiting for them – only inspired lunacy and plenty of laughs!

Actor Under Fire Full Staging
During the Vietnam War, acclaimed actor Jimmy Gleason traveled to over 20 base camps, hospitals, villages and front lines to bring Neil Simon’s All-American comedy, The Star-Spangled Girl, to servicemen and women. Gleason recounts stories of the soldiers he met, the tragic and comical events he witnessed, and the effect the tour had on him.

Loveable but eccentric Elwood P. Dowd has a best friend – a pooka (a mythical creature who changes shapes and plays pranks) in the shape of a 6′ 3 ½" rabbit. When his sister tries to have him committed, she learns that being "normal" isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

The Conex Staged Reading
An enigmatic couple arouses the suspicions of authorities at Heathrow Airport. When interrogators begin to uncover their true identities and purpose, an international incident is triggered regarding one particular conex (shipping container) that sends British and American intelligence into a struggle to contain it.

Bad Habits Staged Reading
This is Obie Award-winning comedy made up of two satirical one-acts set in a sanitarium.
