God’s Favorite debuted on Broadway in 1974 and starred the late-great actors, Vincent Gardenia and Charles Nelson Reilly. The play is Neil Simon’s comic re-telling of the story of Job from the Bible – relocated to a mansion in Oyster Bay, Long Island. With Simon’s famous wit and snappy dialogue, the treatment turns out to be quite a funny farce with a deep message for all to take away with them.
