About This Show

“People stopped being scared, no one even wears red ribbons anymore. People wear yellow rubber bracelets instead.”

Written as a companion piece to his critically acclaimed Extra Virgin, Howard Walters’ new play, Chaser, shakes us out of our complacency by controversially daring to acknowledge and challenge what has been referred to as the gay community’s “dirty little secret” – “Bug Chasers,” gay men who actively seek to contract the HIV virus. Peter Bull directs.

The cast includes Graham Townsend and Gareth Watkins.

The reading is followed by an audience discussion with the playwright.
