Cat, Mouse, Bird and Boy
Newly married, an SS officer and his wife deal with the reality of living near a concentration camp. Their story is also realized through the eyes of their pets – a cat who desperately loves her male owner, and a bird who is devoted to the SS officer’s wife. A visiting mouse completes the three, and through their adventures, they too, experience the ramifications of genocide and the Holocaust.

Donny, a National Guard recently home from fighting in the Iraq War, spends the Fourth of July with his grandmother and a fellow Guard. Donny’s experiences with the war, as well as his burdened secret, are slowly unraveled as the day approaches evening.
