About This Show

RagTag Entertainment proudly presents the hit Off-Broadway dark comedy, Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead by Bert V. Royal. Directed by Tobie Romzek.

Hailed by critics and audiences since its New York premiere, Dog Sees God is an unauthorized parody about the characters from the Peanuts comic strip during their teenage years. CB’s dog is put down after he contracts rabies and kills “a little yellow bird”, leaving his owner to ponder the afterlife and his place in the world. CB’s sister, his best friend, Van, and other characters are too absorbed in their own teenage predicaments to offer much help, but a neglected and bullied student provides the comfort and candor that CB seeks.

Dog Sees God was one of the most acclaimed plays at the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival, winning the Excellence Award for Best Overall Production, Theatermania’s Play Award, and the GLAAD Media Award for Best Off-Off-Broadway production. In 2006, the play was honored with Broadway.com’s Audience Award for Favorite Off-Broadway Production and the HX Award for Best Play.

The production has a cast featuring: Thomas Chrastka, Evelyn Connors, Leah Kreitz, Elizabeth Erin Matthews, Lisa Marie Smith, David Tarr and J R Thomas. Direction by Tobie Romzek, Original Music by Arles Estes and is Produced by Andrew Wright. A portion of all proceeds will go to benefit The Trevor Project.
