Carol Burnett herself prefaced this collection of The Carol Burnett Show Skits with some sage advice that was once given to her: “Comedy is a serious business!” She also recommended being ridiculous, over-the-top, and quick-witted, because in skits you don’t have much time to get your point across. The Carol Burnett Show first aired on CBS in 1967 and kept people at home laughing for over a decade. Besides its slapstick comedy and musical numbers, the program was perhaps best known for its movie parodies such as “Went with the Wind,” which you will see in this collection of hilarious skits performed by Barn Lot Theater in homage to the talent of Carol Burnett.
