New York City
Huck and his friend Tom Sawyer are rich after finding a treasure but it certainly hasn’t made Huck’s life easier. The Widow Douglas wants to “civilize” him and his abusive father wants all the money for himself. After staging his own death, Huck makes a dash for freedom, on which he is accompanied by Jim, a runaway slave. Magnets for trouble, Huck and Jim go from one adventure to the next as they float down the Great Mississippi River. Along the way, Huck learns a little about right and wrong, fairness and equality, and a lot about the true meaning of friendship.
