About This Show

After spending many months in a treatment facility, Vicky decides that it’s time to pay tribute to her roots and one of her favorite vocalists of all time, Dolly Parton. Although abandoned at a young age, Ruby decides her love of clogging must be linked to the smoky mountains in Tennessee. Similarly, Vicky’s tambourine prowess reveals that Dolly must be a distant relative. The Boofont Sisters out drink and out sing anyone from miles around on “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You”. Dolly Wouldn’t features the infamous duet “Islands in the Stream” and a puppet show set to Vicky singing “Me and Little Andy.” The resemblance between The Boofont Sisters and Dolly is apparent in the big, blonde wigs, trashy costumes, and resonating voices.

Although the Boofont bloodline does not, in fact, go back to Tennessee, The Boofont Sisters quest for family resolves in kinship between sisters.
