Mr. Green, an 86-year-old retired dry cleaner, wanders into New York traffic and is almost hit by Ross Gardiner, a young corporate executive. A judge orders Ross weekly community service to assist the Mr. Green in his walk-up apartment that is in as much disarray as his life. Ross has no desire to be there, and the cantankerous Mr. Green certainly doesn’t want his help. Both headstrong men must try to deal with each other despite their conflicts in lifestyle, values and expectations. They slowly start to learn from one another and form a friendship that will change their lives in this absorbing, heartwarming, uplifting and funny play.
