Two Gentlemen of Verona

William Shakespeare’s comedy Two Gentlemen of Verona will be the featured production of this year’s Shakespeare on the Green in Lake Forest. This summer marks the twelfth year for this professional Shakespeare company. The show offers an opportunity to send up romantic love in all of its various guises. Young, naively idealistic lovers; a chivalric knight-like figure; a pompous suitor and even two clowns, who contemplate what it means to be in love, round out Shakespeare’s early comedy.
