About the Show
It’s a shrew summer with the Olde School Shakespeare collective. And you’ve never seen “a Taming” quite like this.
"Highly recommended [...] the fun and the masquerade of Shakespeare's original work was only compounded in this productions vibrant adaptation, but the start of the night was OSSC's hot and heavy brat-taming interpretation." - Third Coast Review
An unusual match is made in heaven for Katherina Minola, as her mother seeks a partner to compliment her shrewd behavior. When Hortensio, one of three potential suitors for Kate’s sister, introduces Petruchio to the biggest brat Padua has ever known, he makes efforts to woo her and tame her to meet both of their desires.
Through satire and a stylized world, Kate and Petruchio shed truth, finding authenticity through sexual identity and expression that previously left them misunderstood.
