About This Show

For the fifth straight year, current performers and alumni of The Second City take to the stage in a benefit for the children and families in the Chicagoland area. With The Second City That Never Sleeps: Letters to Santa, the group performs for an entire 24 hour period, presenting improvised scenes, songs and games and only taking breaks when a variety of top musical acts drop by to perform and inspire the cast and audience.

Scheduled musical acts include Jeff Tweedy, Robbie Fulks, Shellac, Sally Timms, Jon Langford, The Blisters and many more.

In addition, an amazing array of auction and raffle items can be bid on at the theatre. This year, premium auction items include:

* A private concert by Jeff Tweedy for you and your friends in the intimacy of your own home.

* A day of recording in the studio with legendary producer Steve Albini.

* The hand written lyrics to the upcoming album by The Stooges, autographed by Iggy Pop.

The admission price of $10.00 guarantees entry to the event for the entire 24-hour period – as seating permits. For a complete list of times and performers, visit Second City.
