About This Show

Based on the internationally renowned works of Spanish-born poet Federico Garcia Lorca, The Poet, The Puppet, and the Prisoner tells the story of a hero puppeteer who is imprisoned in the theatre by a merry-go-round of puppet stages and condemned to perform four stories that chronicle the “stages of man.” Each stage showcases a different style of puppetry and progresses from the playfulness of childhood, to a painful coming-of-age, the assertion of masculinity, and the inevitablility of death.
