About This Show

The Nutcracker begins as a young girl named Marie receives a beautiful Nutcracker on Christmas Eve from her mysterious Uncle Drosselmeyer. When Marie falls asleep, she awakes to find the Nutcracker has come to life, along with a toy Soldier and a doll named Clara. Unfortunately, other toys have come to life as well, including the Mouse King, who battles with the Nutcracker for a magical crown, whose wearer will be turned into a human boy by the Sugar Plum Fairy. When the Mouse King escapes with the crown, Marie, the Nutcracker, and the other toys embark on a journey to reach the Sugar Plum Fairy before the Mouse King. They venture through the whimsical Land of Toys, followed by the beautiful Land of Snow, and finally arrive in the delicious Land of Sweets. Marie and The Nutcracker reach the Sugar Plum Fairy just in time to save the crown from the Mouse King. But can the Nutcracker really be turned into a human boy? Suddenly, Marie wakes up to find she’s been dreaming… has her adventures with the Nutcracker only been fantasy, or will the magic of Christmas reveal something else?
