The Last Barbecue

The Aardvark proudly announces the opening production of their 2000-2001, The Last Barbecue by Chicago playwright Brett Neveu. A darkly comic look at what’s cooking in that nice “normal” family’s backyard. Burgers, briquettes, and beer…but what’s wrong with this picture? Is it the elusiveness of the guest of honor? The son and father’s ritual resentment dance? The lost briquettes? In any case, the motto at Ted and Jan’s house is the family that grills together ends up drinking in the dark.
