New York City
Adapted by Chicago Theater Company’s Luther Goines with playwrights Mignon McPherson, David Barr and Douglas Alan-Mann, this powerful and original show elevates the everyday experiencs of Chicagoans on the city’s south side. The piece is drawn from writings published in the Journal of Ordinary Thought, a project of the Neighborhood Writing Alliance. The show, which enjoyed a sold out run last season and appeared on the top 10 lists of many Chicago theater critics, comes to Theater on the Lake for five encore performances.
