About This Show

Lifeline Theatre concludes its first virtual season with a six-episode audio drama adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility, adapted by ensemble member Christopher Hainsworth, directed by ensemble member Heather Currie.

When their father’s sudden death leaves them with no home and little income, Dashwood sisters Elinor and Marianne – along with their mother and younger sister – are called to live at a cottage at Barton Park near distant relatives. Thrust into the society of eccentric friends (and new rivals) the sisters attempt to navigate a world where love is held hostage by social class and happiness is ruled by money. Get swept up in the romance of one of Jane Austen’s most beloved stories adapted to an immersive audio experience!
