Robin Chaplik directs her own adaptation of Cynthia Ozick’s The Shawl and Rose, uniting them into a single theatrical work which explores the powerful bonds between mothers and daughters and the struggle of a Holocaust survivor between the past and present. Rosa Lublin follows a Holocaust survivor who witnessed the death of her infant daughter in a concentration camp and picks up 30 years later when another immigrant challenges her to confront her ghosts.
