Reggie Watts

Winner of the 2005 Malcolm Hardee Award following his smash hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Reggie Watts also received the 3rd Annual Andy Kaufman Award by Andy’s father and long-time manager George Shapiro. Combining looped vocals created live on stage with his unique brand of improvised comedy, Watts’ show touches on subjects as diverse as ancient history, technology, science, spirit elves, racism, theology and pop culture. His unique blend of music and comedy incorporates hip-hop, trip-hop, 80’s pop alternative and classical opera, and is all improvised over looped beatboxing, channelling multiple influences into a unique sound that disorientates, enlightens and confuses in the most entertaining way.
