Pegasus Players presents the world premiere of a new musical by James Lapine, with music by William Finn and lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh. Muscle is based on the book of the same name by Samuel Fussell. Max Riddle, a brilliant graduate from a prestigious Ivy League school, is ready for a new beginnning. Instead of following in his parents’ footsteps towards academia, Max takes an entry-level job in publishing in New York City. Disenchanted and frightened by the brutality of life in the city, Max soon searches for a new identity. He finds it at the gym.
There are additional performances Tuesday, June 5; Wednesday, June 6; Tuesday, June 12; and Wednesday, June 13 at 8 p.m. There is no show on thursday, June 14.
