Center Stage welcomes this company of Chicago’s finest actors with their lively concert reading of Bernard Shaw’s Mrs. Warren’s Profession. Mrs. Warren runs a string of brothels in various European capitals. Her business is so successful that she can afford to send her daughter Vivie to Cambridge University. When Vivie discovers the source of the money that supports her gentility, a battle of wills ensues between mother and daughter.
