About the Show

TUTA Theatre Chicago presents the national premiere of Huddersfield, written by Serbian playwright Ugljesa Sajtinac, translated by Duska Radosavljevic, and adapted by Caridad Svich.

Huddersfield is a dark, deceptively funny tale that dares to ask: can we really escape our history? Are we doomed to repeat it? Set in the obscure Serbian town of Zrenjanin, the play is an homage to a beer drinking and pot smoking reunion of former school friends coming to terms with getting older.

A special benefit performance and discussion with the playwright will occur on Saturday, June 3rd, tickets are $30 .
