With two parts jazz, one part gospel, and a dash of swing, this feel-good musical puts a new twist on Gilbert & Sullivan’s classic, The Mikado. Adapted by David H. Bell, with musical arrangements by Rob Bowman, Hot Mikado is the side splitting story of a wandering minstrel named Nanki-Poo, who is unable (due to a series of amusing complications) to wed his sweetheart Yum-Yum.
