About This Show

The highly-acclaimed Australian dance company Chunky Move uses video interviews of five next-door-neighbor-type men’s reactions and experiences with dance, sets them to music, and brings them to a daring new dance genre in I Want to Dance Better at Parties. The interviewed men are represented on stage by five dancers. The piece moves out of the realm of documentary into an energetic, insightful, and extremely physical dance work, composed of a series of private dances based on the characters’ experience with dance.
