About This Show

Chaim’s Love Song is a play that centers around the character of Chaim Shotsky as he tries to befriend a lost looking young woman – Kelly Burke – who he finds sitting alone in the park by his Brooklyn apartment. Chaim entertains her by telling her stories of his life. Each memory scene evokes the characters involved including: his wife Tzwawrah, Pearl – the matchmaker, his children Reuben and Rachel, and his best friend Oscar Birnbaum, among others. We see his stories come vividly to life as the play enfolds, and watch as Chaim and Kelly’s friendship helps to enrich their lives in this wonderfully funny and heartfelt comedy.
