About This Show

The Attic Playhouse proudly present James Sherman’s Beau Jest. Sarah’s parents want her to marry a nice Jewish boy. Her boyfriend Chris doesn’t meet their expectations. So, Sarah concocts an ingenuous plan and invents the perfect Jewish doctor. When mom and dad pressure her to bring him to dinner, Sarah hires Bob to impress her parents and brother while she eases into revealing the truth about Chris. Unfortunately, Bob is a WASP, too. The case of substituted identity turns hilariously complicated during several family dinners: Mom and dad love Bob and Bob loves Sarah!
