About This Show

Chicago’s premiere Latino theater company reprises their world premiere production of Aurora’s Motive by Chicago playwright Jamie Pachino. This thrilling historical play is based on the true story of a radical young woman who bucks convention by raising and educating her daughter to speak out as a leader of the revolution. A child prodigy, with a nationally recognized news column, she travels the country with her mother lecturing on sexual reform, birth control, women’s rights and the creation of the Spanish Republic. As she blossoms into a young woman and begins to pull away from her mother…tragedy strikes.
