New York City
Village Players Theatre reopens its Play Ground Space with A Walk in the Woods, by Lee Blessing.
Amidst the arms negotiations between the Soviet Union and the United States in Geneva, Russian Andrey Botvinnik and American John Honeyman take A Walk in the Woods. Actually, they take several and during these walks the arms negotiations are informal but the negotiations of a friendship are very real.
A Walk in the Woods is directed by Village Players’ Production Managing Director
Scott Lee Heckman who directed the inaugural Play Ground production, The Last Five
Years in March of 2006. Performing Botvinnik is Bill Brennan who has appeared on Village
Players’ stage in The Odd Couple, Twilight of the Golds, and Chad Morton’s TV Christmas
Miracle. Returning to Village Players as Honeyman is Jordan Hoisington who appeared in
Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.
