To commemorate this November’s elections and a celebration of one of the most important documents ever created, E.D.G.E. Theatre presents the story of the Declaration of Independence. It is the summer of 1776, and thirteen British colonies are ready to declare independence from tyrannical Great Britain. However the Founding Fathers realize that they may disagree with each other more than King George III.Follow John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, Richard Henry Lee, Thomas Jefferson of Virginia and others as they attempt to convince each other that voting for independence and leaving the monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence is the best thing for the future of all. 1776 is a funny, insightful and compelling drama with a striking score and legendary book.
