About the Show
With a book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, Little Shop of Horrors is a vivacious and clever musical that tells the story of Seymour Krelbourn, a nerdy florist working in a failing flower shop on Skid Row who longs to capture the heart of the lovely shop girl, Audrey. When Seymour discovers a mysterious plant, which he names Audrey II, his luck begins to change. As the plant grows, so does Seymour’s good fortune; but in time, Seymour learns Audrey II has an appetite for something much thicker than water. Great show-stopping numbers are plentiful in this must-see musical.
