About This Show

“Cillian Murphy is stunning” — New York Post

“Enchanting & Hopeful” — Roger Ebert

The 2006 Golden Globe nominated film, Breakfast on Pluto, plays at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center as part of the “Finest in World Cinema Series.” A lively and entertaining new film by award-winning director Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Interview with a Vampire, The End of the Affair), Breakfast on Pluto stars Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Stephen Rea and Brendan Gleeson.

Set in the politically tumultuous London of the 1970s, the film follows the misadventures of Patrick Braden (Cillian Murphy), an endearing, clever and deceptively tough young transvestite prostitute on a quest to find love and a place to call home. Abandoned as a baby in his small Irish hometown and aware from a very early age that he is different, Patrick survives his harsh environment with the aid of his wit and charm.

Breakfast on Pluto is in English, is 135 minutes long, and is rated R.
