New York City
As part of its mission to bring new work and innovative productions to Atlanta audiences, PushPush Theater will premiere Heartbreak, a wry comedy by Decatur resident Rob Nixon.
Set on a single day in late summer 2001, Heartbreak (loosely based on George Bernard Shaw’s Heartbreak House) follows the lives of an odd mix of people thrown together in a house along the northern Florida Gulf coast. As war games staged by a nearby air force base rage overhead, these seven individuals try to deal with the discontents of their relationships and day-to-day lives, waiting for something anything to happen that will bring them meaning and excitement.
