As his business comes to a standstill during the holidays, proprietor Mel Footmeyer is understandably forlorn. Early one morning, he awakens to find a “chic, but not too ostentatious” pair of shoes sitting in his workshop. Unbeknownst to Mel, Gino and Frankie had a squabble with their boss at the North Pole concerning artistic freedom and have fled to New York to do what elves do best – make stuff! A society matron admires their pumps, and soon, local celebrities of the day are buying enough slippers, spats and loafers to keep the Footmeyers well-heeled indefinitely.
