Love is in the air…and laughter too when the Salzburg Marionettes present William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Four young lovers succumb to the whims of desire after Oberon, lord of the fairies, places the mysterious juice of a scintillating flower on their slumbering lids. Shakespeare’s witty dialogue, performed by members of London’s Central School of Speech and Drama, and Mendelsson’s glorious overture create a spellbinding production that would make the Bard proud.
