An Evening with Sylvia Reed

Sylvia Reed’s work is well known to local theatre goers. Her first play, Alligators, has been performed at both Manatee Players and Venice Theatre as well as having multiple productions around the country. Her second play, The Ones That Flutter, recently was performed as part of the New York City Public Theatre’s Summer Play Festival and won her a residency in London at the Donmar Warehouse (a famous West End theatre in Covent Garden) this Spring. 

A dramatic reading of Sylvia Reed’s newest play, Kingfisher, will be followed by an opportunity for audience feedback and discussion with the playwright. Afterwards, Sylvia will be available to sign books that contain her short plays first produced by Theatre Odyssey, American Flag and Works in Progress.
