Stage Kiss

Sarah Ruhl’s Stage Kiss is the story of She and He, two mid-forty year olds who were romantically involved when in their twenties and pursuing careers as actors. The relationship ended and She quit show business to get married and have a child who is now a teenager. He stayed the course and his acting career has been a constant struggle for survival. Now that She’s daughter is a bit older, She decides to get back in the game by auditioning for a new play about romance in the 1930s.

She gets the part of the leading lady while, unbeknownst to her, He has already been cast as the leading man.
