Aida is a beautifully written love story based on the hardships of love. The story is set in Egypt, as Aida, the daughter of Ethiopian King Amonasro, has been taken to Egypt to become a slave for the Egyptian Princess, Amneris. Aida’s father has threatened war against the Nile and the young officer Radames hopes that he will be named commander of the army. In order for Radames to free his love Aida and the other Ethopian slaves, Radames has to promise to marry Amneris. After a deceitful plan by Amonasro, Radames and Aida meet their fate together.
