On the Town

On the Town is an exuberant, musical-comedy classic about three sailors with 24 hours to take their bite out of the Big Apple. All the excitement, sightseeing and escapades are expressed in a variety of dancing styles that serve as a metaphor for the coming of age of these three young men. The lyrics from one of the show’s best-known songs, Leonard Bernstein’s “New York, New York,” have made this show a permanent part of the musical landscape of New York City.
