About This Show

Mixing true-life events and Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel The Three Musketeers with a lot of imagination and improbable nonsense, Buntport has created their latest production. In 1844, Alexandre Dumas checked a book out of the Marseilles public library. He based his now classic (and often staged/filmed) novel on this book and then had the audacity to never return it. In Buntport’s Musketeer, you’ll meet Charlotte, the modern day librarian, intent on righting this wrong. In 2002, as Dumas’ exhumed body is being transferred to the Pantheon in Paris, Charlotte sets out to retrieve the book long missing from the library system.
