It is October 1849. Edgar Allan Poe has recently died and his literary executor is compiling Poe’s works for posthumous publication. Memories of Poe’s final years full of love, hate, loss, and literature are played out and Poe’s best-known tales and poems are intricately woven into the dialogue.
