In celebration of President Elect Barack Obama’s historic inauguration, The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University and The City Lights Orchestra, under the musical direction of Rich Daniels, will present America in the Age of Obama, A Concert Honoring Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. For a memorable evening of music and entertainment, join emcee CBS 2 Chicago Anchor Jim Williams and hundreds of musicians, including Linda Clifford, Orbert Davis, the Soul Children of Chicago, the Walter Payton College Prep Concert Choir, Suzanne Palmer, Bruce Mattey and Mark Madsen as they join together to commemorate this historic time in American history with original compositions as well as patriotic songs and beloved classics. Alongside the musical line-up, special guests Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan; Boeing Company Vice President Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, granddaughter of President Franklin D. Roosevelt; and Roosevelt University President Charles R. Middleton will provide narrations of historic texts, poetic readings and theatrical soliloquies.
