About This Show

Adapted and directed from George Orwell’s novel by Ensemble Member Andrew White.

In Oceania, there is only one political party, which dominates every individual through constant propaganda, continuous war and frequent arrests of those who have committed “thoughtcrime.” Winston Smith believes he is possibly the only person left alive who remembers that things were once different. When he meets Julia, a fellow worker at the Ministry of Truth, he learns that he is not alone in his rebellious spirit. Winston’s struggle to find love, define truth and preserve his own sense of self unfolds through live action, live video feed, and film and video projections, all under the watchful eye of Big Brother.
