The Lord of the Rings

Hobbit Frodo treks across Middle Earth, following his quest to destroy the evil, dangerous and awesomely powerful ring that he has been given. Along the way he meets beings that include elves, dwarves, men and orcs that help or hinder his long journey. This new musical is based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.

The Lord of the Rings features book and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus, music by A.R. Rahman and Varttina, with Christopher Nightingale. Matthew Warchus directs, with choreography by Peter Darling.
