About the Show

Crow’s Theatre presents The Dirty/Beautiful, written by Stephen Massicotte, directed by Jim Millan. This is a comic relationship play that revolves around the local neighbourhood porn shop where you can’t buy love, but you can rent it!

Tim works at the porn shop at the corner of sin city and straight suburbia. What began as a temp job has quickly become a vocation. His girlfriend Trish recognizes the change in him and is uneasy with her guy spending eight hours a day up to his eyeballs in adult entertainment.

Mike is a clean-cut realtor whose two-year marriage to Lisa has become a bit boring in the bedroom. At her urging, Mike seeks some stimuli of the XXX variety. Initial humour gives way to some serious questioning about the difficulties of intimacy; sexual and otherwise. What is perversion, after all? Perhaps, what you find dirty, someone else finds beautiful!
