New York City
Two young women have won some money in a lottery in the 1930’s. They decide to sublet their London flat for four months. One of them is going to get married to a young man who is arriving home from Africa; the other is using the money to travel abroad. A personable young man arrives to look at the flat and starts and unexpected and spine-chilling chain of events that plays itself out in a remote cottage somewhere in the English countryside. Frank Vosper’s Love From a Stranger is adapted from a story by Agatha Christie.
