Jan Kudelka directs Susan Freedman’s own-woman comedy. Fifty-Seven and Still Lying About My Weight! is about being a survivor — Freedman is proud to say that she survived a Winnipeg winter, the 1991 CBC blood-bath, a broken marriage and the ups and downs of the 50-something generation. The production is part of The Fringe: Toronto’s Theater Festival.
