Clever Evelyn

This original musical adventure was written and directed by Katrine Raymond. In Clever Evelyn (or Mrs. Pickles and the Guide to Good Vacuuming), the show’s title character falls asleep one night only to find herself in a fairy world where intertextuality runs amuck. On her fantastic journey, she encounters many quirky characters in this world without rules. She finds a banana skin house, a trio of robbers, and a missing T’ang Dynasty Chinese gold cup. The cast includes Nick Gunz, Julie Bowring, and nine-year-old Holly Skabarnicki. The production is presented as part of The Fringe: Toronto’s Theater Festival.
