Christina Augello stars as Baroness Elsa Von Freytag-Loringhoven, in Kerry Reid’s The Last of the Red Hot Dadas. The Baroness was Dada’s unsung heroine–pre-Punk by 60 years and perhaps our first feminist performance artist. She sewed tea balls to her skirt, wore postage stamps in place of rouge, and, once she was through mocking Duchamp, came west to haunt the streets of Greenwich
Village. John Warren directs.
