Moonwatcher: Return to Chelm for Chanukah

About the Show

Traveling Jewish Theatre (TJT) presents Moonwatcher: Return to Chelm for Chanukah this holiday season. The creative team of the TJT hit, God’s Donkey and last year’s Moonwatcher: A New Tale of Chelm for Chanukah, has created a new, improved, wackier version of the show – bringing back beloved characters like Reb Feinshmata and the Chelmnik puppet chorus, and adding new songs, scenes and silliness. Co-writers Aaron Davidman, Corey Fischer and Eric Rhys Miller and composer Daniel Hoffman invite the community to return this Chanukah to the most foolish town in the Jewish imagination – [the world of] Chelm – where scholars take pratfalls and children dance with the moon. This year’s production includes a special bonus: the live music of the San Francisco Klezmer Experience.
