Meanwhile, Back at the Super Lair

Impact Theatre continues its 9th season with the hilarious Meanwhile, Back at the Super Lair by Greg Kalleres. Ten years ago the mayor of Sate City appointed the Super Tribe — four superheroes called The Human Fly, Silver Streak, Rhino Man, and Leopard Woman — to protect the city’s denizens. Despite the members of the Super Tribe lacking any actual superpowers, an early and accidental victory left Sate City crime-free. Ten years later, the Super Tribe is still on the city payroll, but all our not-so-superheroes do is hang around the Super Lair (a subletted apartment) wearing spandex and playing cards.

But now the Super Tribe must battle twin forces of evil: 1) a brand-new, mysterious supervillain, the Eidolon, and 2) city bureaucracy, in the form of an efficiency expert who has been sent to determine whether the Super Tribe is wasting precious budget allocations.
